Morrocan style

How great is this room as commented on by Abigail Ahern on www.atelierabigailahern.com.
Abigail Ahern has a fresh approach to interiors with an eclectism that does not disappoint.
Am loving her use of faux flowers in her shop. Have been thinking of doing, faux arrangements but with a seaside edge for the beach holiday homes here in Killcare.

I have a few antique teapots, one is solid silver!

Artisan

The golden rule of design is to enhance and improve our lives, but this should not be at the expense of others. We personally check on the working environment, engaging with the artisans. Ethical design improves everyone’s way of life. FOCALPOINT is attentive to the long term development and preservation of the traditional arts the country we source from. We are supporting the Tunisian Artisans by buying from them directly- i.e. no intermediary buyer, which ensures they receive their rightful payment directly from us. If there is no market for the products the artists must find other employment and cease their craft. Focalpoint encourages the preservation of the traditional skills by finding new markets for the products. This will have a long term effect of encouraging long term employment.

Blues

Tunisia has long and varied links with the great civilizations of history including the Carthaginians, Romans, Berbers, Arabs and the Ottomans, Spanish and French. All the ceramic designs draw on these various cultures decoratively. A design constant, however is the use of mediterranean blues.
